Ok... come on now, fellas.

So just what the hell has been going on... besides nothing? We haven't been doing any live shows, and the stream has been less than reliable as of late. Well, the ruKus radio guys have been quite busy lately. Trevor has been assisting in getting the most amazing original music venue in the area off the ground. And it's working! The Kellys, Daboondox, and Cadillac & The Devilles just threw one hell of a grand opening party, and hundreds rolled through to celebrate! If you haven't checked the place out yet, you must. It's in the same building as Yamatos on 422 in Warren.

Moestradamus has been working two jobs. He's gone back to being a retail monkey for the holiday season. Extra cash and an employee discount is pretty sweet this time of year. But needless to say, it sucks up a bunch of extra time. But, he is resolving to pay the ruKus a little more attention in the new year. BUT, we need help! We're on a big hunt for some good, dedicated DJs to help us turn ruKus radio into what it really should be. So we're calling all minions. We need HELP! Any interested parties should drop a line to r00t@ruKusradio.net!

On a lighter note, however, ruKus radio is turning one! Technically it happens at 12:01am January 1st, but since everyone has some pretty sweet plans for new year's (TQ and Kaddie are playing in Boswell for an insane Jeff Perigo party, and Moestradamus and Sarahdipity are having a New Year's Party Dream), we're not going to hold the celebration until New Year's Day Eve. Tune in at 7pm New Year's Day to celebrate ruKus - the history. We're going to celebrate some of the finest moments in ruKus history, revisit some of the insanity, and catch up with a bunch of our old friends to see what they have planned for the new year! So DON'T MISS IT!! And until then, enjoy The Zou's 01/01 (New Year's Day) off of their new album Archaeopteryx... on repeat until the show! :)

So... until 2009, keep blasting forth with a complete disregard for the mainstream! With www.ruKusradio.net

YoVille - NOT a new nickname for Youngstown

If you've yet to check out the Myspace/Facebook application YoVille, it's pretty much time you must! In roughly the same gaming fashion as The Sims and SecondLife, YoVille allows you to create a character, and live out their entire life. From going to work to make money to craftily designing an apartment, it allows users to retain complete creative control over their lives. But much unlike its predecessors, it's free. Sure, you can spend real world money on YoVoille Coin, but you can also make money by going to work every day. Making major purchases of items like flat screen TVs and laptops, or wallpaper and hardwood floors from YoDepot, are just a few of the things one can do to customize their living space.

It's wild. Recently, ruKus radio has been using YoVille as a way to reach a mass amount of people that are hungry for new music, art and generally, something to do! We have been hosting live events within YoVille to correspond with live broadcasts, and the response has been amazing. Hundreds of people a night will show up in the room, tune in, request music, and INTERACT! Crazy concept, we know. Check out the main ruKus community room...

And TQ's pad is pretty sweet, eh? Nice bar!

The best way to experience this phenomenon is to just dive right in! It's quite easy to figure out, and loads of time-killing fun. And sure, YoVille, like any other mass internet community, has its fair share of scammers, spammers and sexual deviants looking for text lovin', but that should be expected. Use caution. We probably fall under spammers. :)

ruKus - the summer

You know that annually infamous back-to-school task of writing the story of your summer? Well, with the launch of the brand new ruKusradio.net, we’re back in session, and we’ll certainly be handing our first assignment in on time. The story of this summer is seriously the stuff of legend. It could not have been written any more craftily, or imaginatively, by Hunter S. himself. Swear.

As a gray and dreary Ohio winter was coming to a close and green was sprouting all over the place, the ruKus radio crew was blasting forth all over town. We were hosting open mic nights at The Royal Oaks, and taking Gonzo Radio to a whole new level by recording and broadcasting live shows from anywhere we could secure a power source. As temperatures and gas prices climbed even higher, summer music festivals brought forth all kinds of craziness (and not just with the weather)!

June brought the landing of the FurtherMind Music Festival, along with what could easily be considered a typhoon in many respects. It was such an amazing day of togetherness, and was the embodiment of people coming together to accomplish a common goal. Many lessons could have been learned that day by watching troupes of people collapse tents to cover the soundboard, only to raise them again and go mobile, moving the soundboard to safety. Or how about watching 6 guys hoist extremely heavy speakers and stands 5 feet up onto stage as Tweaktronic invited the storm with one precisely thunderous power chord. Or maybe watching ten people move a massive tent to cover the front-of-stage area so the crowd could sway to Fourth River and be dry at the same time. We’re not quite sure exactly which of these events caused that energy to bleed from the grounds of FurtherMind, but either way, Dave would’ve sure been proud. Oh, and it brought the first installment of ruKus – the camp, where the post-show nuttiness commenced. It’s no wonder, with a launch pad like this, that the summer of 2008 became so legendary, so quickly.

July invited two very heavy events to “ruKuscast Awesomeland,” as some like to call it, as The Mothership dropped onto Nelson Ledges Quarry Park and Warped Tour rolled through town! First let’s chat about The Godfather of Funk. Holy shit was that a crazy evening. Let’s drop back a couple of months, though, to when George Clinton’s P-funk Allstars played Youngstown’s Chevy Center in May. Somehow [ ;) ] we weasled our way back stage, and eventually met and hung out with Alan, Parliament’s monitor technician. Alan is a world-class guy, and we walked through the hazy innards of the Chevy Center talking about all kinds of things, until it was time for him to hit the bus. As much as it broke our funked out hearts, we had to turn it down to hit up the Dox’s Wounded World release party. It was a sad, rainy walk back to Barley’s, but the celebration of the gap-bridging made it all ok.

When we found out the Mothership was circling back to Ohio in July, we gave Alan a call to line up some sort of meeting, interview, etc. Well, we had to take it through all of the proper channels first, and needless to say, that’s not the quickest process… in any organization. So on the day of the show, we still had no official word of an interview, or permission to record. We got into the show, found Alan and talked for a while, and figured out that we had to get approval before anything could happen. So we decided to enjoy ourselves! And that, we did. After the show, we wanted to talk to Alan to find out where they were headed next, and to scope out the possibilities of an interview, but he was nowhere to be found. And we didn’t have proper backstage clearance. After moments of debate, the gate-crashing began, and we ended up hanging out on Parliament’s tour bus getting down a little with some of the guys. We found out they were playing in Detroit at 9pm the next day, and all we had to do was get the interview greenlight. So, we kicked it for a little longer, headed back to camp, and readied ourselves for a run to Detroit. When morning came, we were more than ready to go. A few important phone calls were made, and the greenlight was given for ruKus radio to interview George Clinton. It was on. So we dash home to get to the internet for trusty old mapquest, and as many details as we can find on the show. When we found the most important one, it was like the worlds largest 45” came to a brain-splittingly screeching halt. P-funk’s set was at 5pm, and there was no possible way we would make it there in time. So in the end, we did some internet sleuthing, and found the most excellent, Kim Manning, P-Funk Allstar. Kim had just released an album, The Love and Light Activation, and was happy to spend some time chatting us up in a phone interview and giving us some tracks to spin! Be sure to catch it all in some of the ruKus – the interviews replays!

The 2008 Vans Warped Tour was absolutely amazing. ruKus radio got press access to cover the event, and met up with some truly amazing bands to talk about everything from puking from stage to the music industry in England; from giant computing computers to promo guys answering the door in their underwear. Seeing such an amazing operation from behind the scenes, and getting to talk to the likes of Reel Big Fish, The Aggrolites, Beat Union and Drmanhattan, and meeting up with Gil Mantera’s Party Dream on their first-ever Warped Tour made for an extremely entertaining episode! ruKus – the Warpisode will certainly go down in history as a catalytic event in the evolution of ruKus radio.

One week later, RX Bandits were rolling into Cleveland on their summer tour with Portugal the Man and Maps & Atlases. We’d had a bit of history with the RX guys. First, we’ve been enjoying their music for years, and when ruKus radio first blasted forth, they were one of the first upper echelon bands that we contacted. They were extremely grateful, and gave us the ok to play anything from their library. We attempted to catch up with them at Lehigh University in Pennsylvania earlier in the summer, but it fell through. So when we saw they were coming to Cleveland, we got in touch with them again to try to arrange an interview. In true RX coolness, they put us in touch with the powers at be, and everything came together for the August 5 show at The Grog Shop. Well, as we were leaving town, we made a quick call to Joe to touch base, and found out that they were in dire need of a kick drum. So we were assigned the task of picking up a highly specific drum head, and delivering it to RX Bandits. Pretty sweet, huh? We completed our task, and had an amazing night. We broadcasted and captured the entire show, and some great interviews, but we’ve been sitting on it. We’re saving it for the big ruKus relaunch. So stay tuned for some more details on the upcoming airing of this wonderful little audio nugget.

The end of August saw The Kellys’ infamous ruKus – the festival (… the sequel), a killer independent music and arts festival that blasted forth from the most amazing venue in the Youngstown/Warren area. The Warren Amphitheatre saw an increase in size from the second annual festival, with the addition of more artists and vendors, and a completely open-mic second stage. With an array of bands like The Zou, Jason and the Punknecks, Jets to Red, and Winslow, how could it ever go bad?! It was truly an amazing day filled with music and art, and saw quite a decent crowd roll through all day. The second stage was packed with some brilliantly talented, unscheduled performers! There is all kinds of documentation of the day, in audio and video, and that will all be released soon as well. So as the pattern is showing, you’re just going to have to keep checking back!

And that, as they say, is that. Those are the highlights of ruKus – the summer. We’ve had some amazing times, and can’t wait to keep them rolling. Stay tuned for more coverage of ruKus – the camp. Going live October 17, 18, 19, and sure to have a replay and podcast to follow. Only on the ALL NEW ruKusradio.net!

ruKus - the comeback

Wow. Ok everyone. We're really sorry! We had one hell of a busy summer, and at the end of it all, the ruKuspace was mysteriously wiped off the face of the internet. It kinda brought down morale and spirits around the ruKus camp, but we haven't stopped planning and scheming. So now we're on, what's known to some, as the comeback trail. Let's talk more about it, shall we?

Ok. So here's the deal. The haps, if you will. We've been hard at work on ruKus radio v2.0! We've been working with Dave Laird, a friend, confidant, and master of webatory design to come up with a bitchin' new site design for ruKusradio.net. It's coming soon. So be sure to keep your eyes wide. We'll have more details on the launch coming soon. The hope is to house mission control for the big launch from the woods. Yes, the woods...

October 17, 18, 19 2008 - ruKus - the camp
We're venturing to the woods during the heart of autumn. It's quickly becoming tradition. Last year at roughly this same exact time, some huge decisions and realizations were made that conceived the ruKus radio fetus. We had already been podcasting, but on this historic weekend, the grassroots that sent ruKus radio blasting forth into the world of streaming internet radio sprouted. And we're celebrating this monumentous weekend by heading back to the womb.

We'll be ROADcasting all weekend from ruKus - the camp, in the heart of Western Pennsylvania. Late night jams, daylong radio shows with all kinds of killer independent music, and of course, a bitchin' menu lineup. Because it's camping, and that's what should be done. And you're all invited. Any interested parties should drop an email to r00t@ruKusradio.net (those are zeros in r00t). It's an extremely inexpensive adventure for your autumn entertainment, and we'd love to have you along. The more, the merrier, as they say. Rules are virtually non-existent at ruKus - the camp. Except for one. No women. Sorry ladies! :) So please, drop us a line and come kick it with us in the woods!

And there we have it. That's what we've been up to. Again, we deeply apologize for seemingly abandoning you all in the past month or so. But we'll definitely be making it up to you. With all kinds of new live shows and content to come on the brand new ruKusradio.net! We'll be speaking with you all again soon. Until then, may the ruKus be with you all.

Grrrr... myspace.

So the ruKuspace has been wiped off the face of the Internet.

We're not sure why. Myspace's outstanding tech support system of FAQs and automated emails just can't seem to give us a direct answer as to where in the hell our account went. And the thought of actually going through the pains of creating a new one 5 days before VexFest and 12 before ruKus - the sequel are just outright gut-wrenching.

So here's the scoop on our upcoming events:

This Friday August 15, ruKus radio and Third Arm Promotions present: Guitar Bomb, The Kellys and The Sweet Ones

Sunday August 17 - Downtown Youngstown - VexFest 5!

Sunday August 24 - Warren Amphitheatre - ruKus - the sequel!
We'll be broadcasting the entire day!!

So, until we get the myspace kicking again, be sure to stay close to ruKus - the news dept. and the forums on ruKusradio.net! We'll be doing all of our updating through these two avenues. And if you have any design ideas for the ruKuspace, and wanna help, drop us a line at r00t@ruKusradio.net (those are zeros)! Thanks gang!

ruKus dreams of a warped party!

The Vans Warped Tour is in its 13th year of bringing an amazing showcase of the underground to major cities across the country, and we're going to be partaking in the festivities! Tuesday, July 29, the rock and extreme sports tour hits Pittsburgh, and the ruKus crew is going to be along for the ride. This year's lineup (something that the tour has come under fire for in recent years past) looks absolutely amazing. Headliners Reel Big Fish and Angels and Airwaves are just two of some of the most killer acts to hit the tour in some years. ruKus radio will be kicking it in the press tent, gathering interviews, taking pictures, who knows, maybe we'll even drop the mics for a live ROADcast or two. We'll see. But here are just a few of the bands we're going to try to get up with...

Beat Union - Birmingham, UK - new wave/punk

The UK has been churning out some amazing music as of late, and these cats are a testament to that very fact. Their U.S. debut album, Disconnected, is a sick little masterpiece molded by the gold-transforming hands of producer John Feldmann of Goldfinger. This dancy powerpunk mix is sure to make you rattle the trunk's junk.

Gil Mantera's Party Dream - Youngstown, OH - Um, you try to slap a genre on these guys

GMPD is reppin' the Yo on Warped Tour this year! Ultimate Donny and Gil got a personal invite from Warped Tour creator Kevin Lyman to play the entire tour. They've been chugging along in Bus 1 from Day 1 in Pomona, CA, and you can rest assured we're going to catch up with these assholes for an interview. :) We'll find out if Donny has been running everyday, and just how close he actually is to looking like Bruce Lee. Do yourself a favor and hit up their myspace page. Crank up the volume and have your very own Party Dream.

The Aggrolites - Los Angeles, CA - soulful reggae

Holy shit are these guys amazing. Even through working as LA studio and backing musicians, and serving as the musical babymakers behind Tim Armstrong's A Poet's Life, Hellcat Records' The Aggrolites have consistently been releasing powerful albums of their own including 2007's Reggae Hit L.A., and 2006's Dirty Reggae. They bring together some of the most fascinating elements of reggae, and blend it with a new-school touch on an old-school, soulful sound. The amazing sounds that backed Poet's Life, are only a touch of what these guys can come up with. Who knows if we'll get a chance to talk to these guys or not, but we'll certainly be in the pit for their set! Kick back, jam their myspace player with a fatty, and celebrate you some Jah.

So, if you're headed off to Pittsburgh's Warped Tour stop, hunt us down and say hey! We'll record a shout out from you and get it on the air! And stay tuned for more Warped updates from your favorite independent radio station, ruKusradio.net.

ruKus - the refocusing

Hello once again everyone, and welcome to another installment of "Just what the hell is going on with the ruKus crew." Well, for starters, we've refocused our energy a bit. We were spending a lot of time focusing on booking and recording shows, hosting open-mic nights, and loads of other stuff. In the meantime, we were neglecting our baby. The station. Our live shows were becoming few and far between, the library rotation was all out of whack, and we were just slacking overall.

But "the times, they are a changing." Due to some circumstances that were out of our control, all of our shows at The Royal Oaks, including ruKus - the mic night, have been postponed until further notice. We're trying to get some things rearranged to make some of these shows still happen. And we may start up another open-mic. But right now, the station is getting some well-needed TLC. We're working on our rotation, so if you notice that your favorite bands or songs are not getting enough airtime, send an email to r00t@ruKusradio.net and tell us! We'll alter the rotation to your desires! Just let us know. We need your feedback in order to make the station better!

Also, we're ALWAYS taking new submissions of independent artists that deserve for the world to hear their music! Anyone can submit a band or mp3s. All you have to do is drop an email to mp3s@ruKusradio.net! The only thing we ask in return is that you and the band add our banners to yourspaces!

Head on over to the newly-improved www.ruKusradio.net! We've got updates happening all over the place, and are bringing you even more on a daily basis! Also, unfortunately, we also need your help in other ways. The funding for ruKus radio comes out of our very own, thinly-lined pockets. So now you can donate through PayPal to help us keep the independence flowing! Check out the link in the right column on ruKusradio.net! Please, help support your favorite internet radio station!

And as always, we need help spreading the ruKus gospel! Head over to the ruKuspace, and gank the code for one of our banners! Add it to yourspace, or website. Post it in bulletins and tell your friends to listen! Check out ruKus - the store, and buy some of our merch! It's damn cheap, and is an easy way to help spread the word!

Oh, and we're on a talent search! Check it...
Just click the image, fill out the app, and send an email to r00t@ruKusradio.net!

So until next time, HELP US OUT!!! Tune in, support the station, talk to us in the forum and in chat, and SPREAD THE WORD!!! Thanks so much gang. We'll be chatting soon.

ruKus radio presents: The Robbie Jay Band and Denny London!

Friday, July 11, at The Royal Oaks - 9pm $5

Ahhhh yes, it's been a while since we had a show at The Royal Oaks (other than the blast that is ruKus -the mic night), and we're ready to get back at it! So what better of a way than to bring in our friends The Robbie Jay Band and Denny London! Some of Hubbard Music's finest! :)

The Robbie Jay Band has been together for about 3 years now, and have really started to hit the Youngstown music scene hard. Their unique brand of cow rock (ok, so that's my term - but their's is a "Shot of Rock n' Roll with a Chaser of Country") has already begun to infect the scene. Come see what it's all about tomorrow night!

Opening up the show is local singer/songwriter Denny London! His refreshing acousticness is sure to lightly massage your eardrums to prepare them for the Robbie Jay rock! Denny is a great performer, and will certainly set the stage for an amazing evening.

So come join us! Enjoy a bitchin' night out at Youngstown's oldest, and raddest bar.

924 Oak St, Youngstown OH, 44506

And if you can't make it, tune in to www.ruKusradio.net for a live ROADcast of the show!

See you there!

Gonzo Radio at its Finest.

Wow. What a weekend! We certainly celebrated independence and felt the funk to the fullest! But, unfortunately, we couldn't connect with the Funkmaster himself at The Quarry. It's quite the long story full of miscommunicational plot twists along the way. But at the end of the night, we made it to the bus, hung out for a bit, gathered some information on their next stop (Detroit's Citifest - 7/6), and started making some last minute plans to head there for the interview. When we woke up in the morning, we made a few phone calls, got press access to the event, and solidified an interview. So we rush home to get to the internet (because when you're going to an event, you might want to know exactly where it is, what time, etc. - and when you've just spent a sweaty night in the woods, you might want to shower before getting in a car for 5 hours), only to quickly find out that Parliament's performance time was 4 hours earlier than what we were initially told. Waahhn, Waahhn, waaahhn, waaaahhhn (did you pick up on that? :) and if i could find a way to type out the sound a balloon makes when the air gets let out, i'd so do it). There was no possible way to make it to Detroit in enough time. Heartbreaking, I know.

So, as it stands in the end, we've got access to a phone interview that will be happening soon, so no worries. We're going to put together a fantastic podcast episode for you when it's all said and done. We have an interview scheduled soon with Kim Manning, one of Parliament's amazing vocalists, who also has her own band and album. We've got 4 of her tracks that we'll be featuring along with the interview. Also, there's a KILLER Bernie Worrell and the WOO Warriors set from 2004 on Archive.org, so maybe we'll slap that in there somehow as well.

Be sure to tune in to www.ruKusradio.net at 8pm EST for ruKus - auKourant with Moestradamus! It's a show featuring new music to ruKus radio, that tends to dip into the classics every now and again!

And that's it for now! Stay tuned for more information on some truly BIG things happening this summer! We'll bring all of them to you, right over there, on ruKusradio.net.

Who Wants the Funk on Independence Day?!

Gotta have that funk! Ladies and gentlemen, ruKus radio is pleased to announce that we'll be kicking it with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic tomorrow, July 5, at The Quarry! We're not exactly sure of how things are going to go down, but we're going to be there with all of our gear. So be sure to tune in tomorrow around 5 or 6pm for updates! We've got access to an interview, whether or not it will be brodcast live, we're unsure. But either way, we'll be recording, and if there is no broadcast, we'll put together a nice little podcast episode for you!

So stick close to www.ruKusradio.net!

And seeing as today is Independence Day, tune in to ruKusradio.net at noon to celebrate independence with Moestradamus! Turn your speakers up and blast the ruKus radio to your all-american picnic! :) It goes great with apple pie. And then TONIGHT, it's the Boxcar Lounge's grand re-opening! Come enjoy the festivities with The Kellys and Geo C and Tha Storm! The Kellys go on at 9, followed by Geo C. And we're going to broadcast the whole thing on ruKusradio.net! So TUNE IN!! And have a bitchin' Independence Day.

Perigopalooza Part 1

Nestled deep in the woods of Route 30 E-PA you will find a small dwelling named rightfully The Runaway Tavern. Across the street is a runaway truck ramp set up for the trucks that come down this huge mountain within the Laurel Highlands of PA.

I arrived to the Runaway Tavern around 1pm. Not knowing what to expect during my 3 hour road trip. I was scheduled to play the Perigopalooza at 4:20pm.

Pulling up to the Tavern it didn't look like much. A small bar at that. But as I started my jaunt around to the back of the Tavern where I noticed Tie Dye's, smiles, and an awesome sound. When coming around the corner of the Tavern I finally realized that this was it, I had made it.

Not even finding Jeff Perigo, I immediately stood and took a listen. EvenSteven was jamming out on his keyboard. Beautiful tones with amazing vocals. I hadn't seen a solo keyboardist jam like that in awhile and was impressed. Yet this wouldn't be the last of EvenSteven for the night. He continued his set then would appear in other sets during the evening.

Finding Perigo, getting settled, and listening to great jams, I found that there was more to this festival. With the addition of a great stage, pavilion for a outside bar, a pavilion with Perigo Pirogies and other edible delicacies, Sugar Magnolia had a tent set up too. There also was a huge camping area in the back of the venue.

Could this be true? A venue that has it all? A venue that wants a successful show for the people and not so concerned about the bar? AMAZING!!!!

After talking to the owner of the venue, Marc, he stated "If people are having a good time, being safe, and the music is great, I would do this everyday of my life."

Marc never stopped for 2 days. From helping the bands with gear to making sure the bars were stocked with the coldest Yeungling, Marc was everywhere. The man is the owner and was working like he was putting on the show.

After EvenSteven completes his set Glenn Henry hits the stage with his looping genius. Making it sound as if he had a full band behind his skeletal appearance. Finding four part harmonies behind one vocalist is amazing. Glenn is also known for playing in the House of Commons.

Andy Tauber from Pittsburgh approached the stage once Glenn and EvenSteven finished their last jam together. Andy brought a different appeal to the show. Starting off his set with an awesome RadioHead cover. Powerful vocals pound through the PA system. A great mix of vocal and guitar is what made this one for me. His instrumental moment really blew my mind. This is someone you want to check out if you hit the Burgh. And again EvenSteven brought his set to a close with another awesome jam.

Trevor Quillan is next on the chopping block, but since I am writing the story I can leave out my details. Although I wish EvenSteven would have jammed with me. "Next year." Steven said.

What was to happen next really amazed me. As for every festival that I have attended this year so far, rain. Rain, rain, rain, and for the next 36 minutes we watched a storm roll in and roll over our heads. Only to cry upon us for 30-40 minutes. The bands were up next and nothing was stopping them.

The bands were a mish mosh of members from other bands throughout the night. Different members of bands working together? Where have I heard that before. Bands included: Wine of Nails, The Chi, Periwinkle Shag, House of Commons, The Wheels, and Eddy Dyer.

If you wanted to be somewhere where the jams were long, thick, and meaningful, Perigopalooza is where you wanted to be. As the night went on, despite the rain, the venue was full. Rain doesn't stop a soul in Jamestown PA. They came in droves. The spirits were high and I don't think anyone gave a shit if there hair got wet. Hoola Hoops were spinning, people were dancing, the campfire was raging, and all thoughts were on the bands and not the weather. Youngstown needs to take a couple of lessons from these great souls.

I will return with Perigopalooza Part 2 soon.

The Haps...

Well, minds have been furthered, changes are taking place on a near daily basis, and the ruKus is continuing to blast forth from every possible angle and location throughout the known universe. But let's play a mind game. Placing myself in your shoes, here is what I would guess you're thinking: "So, just what the hell has been going on? There's been no open-mic at The Oaks for the past few weeks, shows on ruKus radio have been few and far between, and updates have been a little light. Come on guys! Get your shit together!"

Ok, ok. We know. So here's the quick rundown. The planning process for FMMF sucked up quite a bit of time. And right at the end of it all, TQ and Moestradamus took off to the lake for a little vaca. But now we're back. And in full force, to be sure. So here's what you can expect from the newly improved ruKus radio and ruKus - the summer.

More shows! Damn right. We're going to be adding more shows to ruKus radio's programming. Daytime shows, late night shows, we're bringing them all. Stay tuned for an updated schedule!

ruKus - the mic night will be returning to The Royal Oaks! Starting next Monday, June 30, we will be back in full swing kicking the shit out of The Oaks with some open-mic goodness! The sign-up list opens up at 8pm. Stage opens at 9. We will be ROADcasting the entire event on ruKusradio.net, and on the last Monday of the month (July will be the first), we'll be recording the sets so you can have a copy. Just don't drink too much. Unless your goal is to capture your drunkest set ever. Then, drink alot.

More stuff to do on the website! We're going to be adding all kinds of fun stuff for you to d
o on ruKusradio.net! Plans for ruKus - the forum and ruKus - the arcade are already underway. So be sure to stick close to ruKusradio.net for the updates.
